It’s Guy Fawkes Night and that means it’s time for fireworks and bonfires to be lit up and down the UK. Everybody is hoping for a clear night free of rain, but here at Sun Awnings we are happy either way. As an excellent addition to our ‘S.A.D are not affected by Winter’ campaign we would like to point out yet another use of awnings beyond the summer months.

DIY VERANDA BEATS WINTER BLUES

The DIY Veranda works by attaching the wall plate to a flat wall onto the house exterior. The posts can either be bolted directly into a patio or inserted into pre moulded concrete foundation blocks. The product itself is made from high quality materials and can easily protect both the house exterior and the patio area.

The frame is made from aluminium and can be powder coated in a variety of colours to suit individual requirements. Incorporated within one of the posts is an integral guttering system which has a downpipe. This provides the option of where water can flow out. This can either be from the bottom of the post, into a water butt, or even integrated into existing guttering or drainage systems.

Summer to Winter..

It seems over the past few months we have gone from Summer (not that we had much of one) into Winter, and skipped Autumn completely. Here at Sun Awnings Direct our products are manufactured with such high quality that they are resistant against the elements. Our awning frames are made from sturdy aluminium and rot resistant and dirt repellant fabric, the perfect combination! This weekend sees the beginning of Halloween festivities to kick off the season and is a great time to make use of your Awning.

Braving the elements!

Last week we discussed the use of Sun Awnings in autumnal evenings and particularly as an essential garden accessory for Guy Fawkes Night! In further support of our S.A.D is not affected by Winter campaign, we are going to highlight the benefits of Sun Awnings on those beautiful but freezing autumn afternoons…Very much in line with the weather we experienced this weekend.

Over the weekend we went on a beautiful walk through public parks and gardens. This public space also had a café area for refreshments at the end of your walk. On approaching the café we could not help but admire their excellent use of Sun Awnings. Sun Awnings are not designed just for shade or to protect you from UV rays in the summer season. Their high quality, robust material provides an external shelter in those cooler months, and acts as a protective barrier against wind or a chilly breeze. Contrary to popular belief, there are various uses for sun awnings throughout all seasons! They are not only fantastic in protecting you from UV rays in the summer, but they also provide an excellent covering against the wind and rain throughout Autumn and Spring.
